Fall Tours
Get your students out of the classroom and into a fresh educational environment. We are gearing up for our 7th season of hosting school group at our farm. In honour of Dunnville's 150th anniversary, we have created hidden stations around the corn maze with historical facts about Dunnville and Dunn Township. We have also developed a new hands-on, interactive school tour presentation with a focus on pioneer farming practices. Students of all ages will benefit from the experience. We also host school tours in the spring time at the maple sugar bush.
Half Day Programs (approx. 2 hours)
Option A: Our original program, including an interactive educational talk re: the lifecycle of corn, farming practices past and present and awareness of fruits and vegetables grown in Ontario; a crop tour; and the corn maze with a quiz to complete and time to play.
Option B: From dirt to butter. The process a pioneer farmer, circa 1860, would have gone through to make basic food items we take for granted. Includes hands on activities to engage all the senses. Helps students gain an appreciation for where our food comes from. Includes time in the corn maze with stations to find and a simplified quiz to complete.
***Both options include a small pumpkin to take home for each student OR one large pumpkin for the classroom
How does our educational corn maze program meet the Ontario Curriculum expectations?

Choose option A or B, then stay for lunch (picnic tables are available), make popcorn over the fire and play a game in the maze OR go for a wagon ride and pick apples at a neighbouring farm in the afternoon. We offer a hotdog lunch for an additional fee.
